“When I worked at a Fortune 500 company, I dealt with customers who encountered issues with our products. There was one situation where it took quite a long time for me to be able to provide a resolution for a customer.  I made it a point to call him weekly whether I had any news or not just so he’d know I hadn’t forgotten about him.


After the situation was resolved, I received a huge bouquet of flowers with a very nice note expressing his gratitude for my assistance. Everyone in my group was impressed.  Knowing I was able to help him and that my help had not gone unnoticed was really a great feeling.
