World Gratitude Day

Get ready. Mark your calendars. Set your phone alerts. Tell your friends.

Wednesday, Sept. 21 is World Gratitude Day.

Be apart of the Gratitude Movement!   To do:

1. On Sept 21, on Your Facebook page, share what and who you are thankful for and why.

2. At 12n EDT, 11am CT and 9am PDT, wherever you are, say “thank you” to the people in your environment.

Driving in your car? Roll down the window and shout “thank you”. Shopping at the supermarket? Say “thank you” to the people who help you. Having lunch with friends? Tell them “thank you” for being part of your life.

Email us or share on the ‘Practices’ page and tell us what YOU did to show your appreciation.

Help us build the energy of gratitude. Share this positive movement with others. Let’s see how much appreciation we can spread around the globe!
The roots of World Gratitude Day was started in 1965 at the International East-West Center in Hawaii  during a Thanksgiving Dinner. At the dinner, attendees pledged to hold a Gratitude Gathering the following September 21st in their home countries. This has become an annual event.
